Old Faithful Geyser
By far the most disappointing stop on our long drive through Yellowstone was Old Faithful. Touted as the "Statue of Liberty of the West," I was expecting a geyser to put everything else we had seen into teeny tiny perspective. When we saw it erupt, at first we thought we had missed the main event, then we thought we might have to wait for it to reach full power, and eventually accepted with a shrug that that was all.
